2021 Chateau Le Puy "Cuvee Emilien"

85% Merlot with the rest of the cuvee filled in with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Emilien is elegant but awake, ripe, and laden with a silky texture.  It's tense, vibrant, and full of delicious vigor; a throwback to what Bordeaux used to be, before power and oak overtook the region to accommodate a style favored by certain wine writers and critics.  Truly delicious from end to end, and highly recommended for traditionalists.
