96 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "This vintage shows a remarkable aromatic profile of Mediterranean herbs, cassis, black cherries, leather and earth with a kind of gamey depth. Full-bodied, it shows velvety, slightly sandy tannins with a firm structure, refreshing integrated acidity and a savory cedar finish. Drinkable now, but best in one or two years..." 03/27/25

94 Points, Joe D'Angelo, International Wine REport: "The 2023 Guidalberto displays wonderful finesse and class as it opens to aromas of dark cherries and black currants, which are woven together with florals, herbs and exotic spices that all take shape. On the palate this is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced with excellent overall focus and precision. It continues to impress with its sleek texture that leads into a finish that lingers beautifully. The blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot is already appealing now, yet there also looks to be a lovely future ahead..." 02/25

94 Points, James Button, Decanter.com: "2023 was a very good year for the Cabernets, according to Priscilla Incisa della Rocchetta, who added that a very hot start to August made it more difficult for early-ripening Merlot. As a result, Merlot has been reduced in the blend from 60% to 45%. The rich and glossy red berry, blackberry and black cherry fruit is nicely layered with balsamic herbs, damp earth and lovely mid-palate sapidity, with a creamy undertow which leads to a finish of dark chocolate and bitter herbs. Intense but not overtly concentrated, fresh and poised, there's much to love here – although it will require at least another six months to pull together harmoniously..." 02/25

(Wine Safari Score: 95/100 Greg Sherwood MW) A classical blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot from 18-year-old vines, the 2023 displays a deep dark opaque colour suggesting a broody aromatics which is indeed tightly packed with red and black berry fruits, damson plum and sun-dried black cherry laced with sweet baking herbs and subtle hoisin plum sauce nuances. The energy on the palate is notable, the acids bright and tangy, combing with sweet savoury berry fruits, creamy tannins, and a spicy, mineral-tinged length. Beautiful mid-palate weight with a long, intense, potent finish. This is another serious release indeed! Drink from 2026 to 2038+
