2020 Proprieta Sperino Coste della Sesia Uvaggio

This 2020 release is drop dead gorgeous.  Per usual, brilliantly balanced red fruit and savory earth notes dominate the nose as it wafts up from the glass (the telltale Chambolle-esque character prevails, as is almost always the case with Uvaggio).  The palate is silky smooth with notes of red and black cherry, dried orange peel, light tobacco and mild anise.  There's nice tension in the wine and the acidity is bright, keeping things super fresh and vibrant as it finishes long... rising with a delicate, perfectly-wrapped bow as it comes to a close.
