Chiron ‘Bolt of Cloth’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Stylistically, this is nothing like Promontory. The ‘Bolt of Cloth’ is exceptionally elegant and fresh with clean, fleshy red, blue and black fruits, and it’s far more inviting in its youth than the gentle giant that Harlan’s Promontory always is. Given Bobby Moy’s resume, it’s unsurprising that this is FLAT OUT DELICIOUS, but maybe a little surprising that it only retails for $100/bottle knowing exactly what fruit and resources contribute to the final bottle. I’m sure this will soon change.
