Domaine Andre Bonhomme Vire Clesse 2021

The 2021 vintage has finally arrived in the states (what’s left of it at least!). It’s a vintage that has been widely praised yet the yields in Burgundy were down close to 70% in some places, meaning there’s not much to go around. IT’S ALWAYS THE BEST VINTAGES THAT ARE TOO SHORT! But when I popped open the cork, I was reminded why I always love this wine so dang much. My senses were flooded and I was immediately brought back to that special tasting at one of Burgundy’s most underrated wineries. It’s full-bodied and rich yet still incredibly light on its feet and perfectly displays that textbook Meursaultien cut and vibrancy.
