Reva makes wines that are firmly influenced by Piedmont and the existing winemaking culture, however they are also looking to push this culture forward. Reva’s wines are crafted by “Langarolo” Gian Luca Colombo, one of the rising stars in Italian winemaking. Winner of the Gambelli award for best young Italian winemaker in 2014, Langarolo (amazing nickname meaning “Man of the Langhe”) grew up in the Langhe area and has always aspired to be a Piedmontese winemaker.
The 'Baby Barolo' is a gorgeous, easy drinking Nebbiolo that is meant to be enjoyed in its earlier years. It's incredibly fresh and vibrant with notes of red berries, black raspberry, orange rind and baking spices. The finish is just as light and fresh as the first sip. It's hard to imagine there are many better Nebbiolos anywhere at this price point. -New York Vintners
"A fresh, open nebbiolo with orange-peel, strawberry and hazelnut character. A medium-bodied red with a berry, light chocolate and light meat aftertaste. Delicious now." -91 Pts, James Suckling
