Matsui has proven itself to be masterful in blending and aging whisky with both its Kurayoshi and Tottori collections, and is now stepping confidently into the world of whisky distillation with it’s single malt collection entitled, ‘The Matsui.’ Unsurprisingly, it won a Gold Medal in its international debut at the San Francisco Intl Spirits Competition in 2021. This one leads off with rich aromas of almond, smoke, and malty goodness highlight this whisky’s extended maturation in cask. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
