The first wine I fell in love with was Bartolo Mascarello Barolo. At the time it was imported by the reclusive Robert Chadderon and you could buy as much as you wanted for less than $100 per bottle in New York if you knew the right merchant. I don't even get an allocation. Oh, how the times have changed. The face of traditionalism in Piedmonte, never wavering, the wines have stood the test of time. This incredible evening will visit 19 vintages spanning the classics from the grand master including the iconic 1961, '64, '71, '78, and 1982 and the incredible new wines from Maria Teresa including the controversial transitional 2001, the sneaky 2008, and the modern classics of 2010 and 2012.
