A Showing of Grower Champagnes
Thursday, September 28th, 2023 7 PM - $795 Per Person - Strictly Limited
14+ Wines - Four Course Seated Plated Dinner with Oysters and Toro
Although I consider myself a classicist, even though the cool kids ONLY drink "grower" Champagne the reality is that nearly every great grower and their family has been deeply rooted in the chalk soils of Champagne for hundreds of years. This lineup is cra-cra. Selosse is the King, Laval, Marguet and Suenen are the killers. Marie-Noelle is the Queen and the food will match the creativity and spontaneity of the movement. We will see who grows and also shows. Jeff and Jacob, I spoke to Augustin and after a very long discussion, a bottle of his decided that they wanted to jump on the boat and come to New York for the tasting. Safe travels my friend.
