2021 PlumpJack Winery Reserve Chardonnay
Plumpjack, which uses two vineyards for their Reserve Chardonnay, one in Los Carneros and the other in St. Helena, were still picking their grapes into October for the 2021 vintage! But winemaker Aaron Miller not only believes it was worth it, but that it’s their best vintage to date.
The result is one of the most complex domestic Chardonnays we’ve tasted in months. Aromas of exotic mango, citrus, and asian pear give way to light floral notes and even a touch of baking spice. The palate is bright citrus and peach, creamy in texture but bright, bouncy, and balanced.
