2020 Lanciola Chianti Colli Fiorentini

A few miles outside of Florence, Agricola Lanciola has been a staple in this budding wine region since 1587, back when a bushel of wheat and a cask of wine was paid annually to the church of St. Stephen of Possolatico. The vineyards are perfectly situated in the hills of Colli Fiorentini at 300 meters of sea-level on great soil. The wines pulled off these shale-rich soil are silky and pure with some mineral notes that come through in waves. It’s the kind of wine that you can sit with and think on.. which at this price is a pretty amazing testament to just how good this is.
