They are all very age-worthy, even by these lofty standards. 2014 was a cool vintage, which was quickly outshone by its shinier and much easier to understand siblings. Don’t get me wrong, the press was very strong for this wine upon release (seven 94-96 point scores), I just think they maybe missed the point. The wine is gorgeous but restrained. I’m positive that there’ll be some super stellar performances in the future for this one.
2016 has been considered an epic vintage from the outset with drought-like conditions producing some fabulously concentrated wines. This 2016 PC is no exception and it has an intense brooding power to it at the moment.
The 99-point 2015 completes this three-vintage vertical trifecta. Another built for the long haul. For simplicity’s sake, I’ve bundled the three together into a single pack that could easily be the darling of an evening in your future.
